If you’ve ever spent time taping off walls, a ceiling or a piece of furniture you MUST take a look at this time saving tutorial that will help eliminate those annoying, often inevitble paint bleeds. If you’re anything like me, you tape, level, re-tape and give multiple firm passes on the edge to make sure your painters tape has adhered really well only to discover bleeds! There’s a super easy solution!
Here’s where the magic happens! In the area you intend on painting, put down a layer of the base color. If you have any bleeds, they will be in the color of your base paint, not your line color!
*QUICK TIP!!! Instead of washing brushes after every use, simply take your brush, lay it down on some plastic wrap and roll it up tightly. When your wall or furniture is ready for a second coat, it’ll be ready to use!
After that’s dry and your satisfied you’ve gotten good coverage, peel back your tape and enjoy your crisp, bleed free, perfection!!!
